Waking up head over heels
Realizing I’m late
I feel the light hurt
Gleaming through my window pane.
Eyes still closed, I turn back and forth
Discomforted and lonely
Being with you is all I long.
A short snooze; the alarm rings again
Rubbing my eyes, dusting my hair
I set out wrapped up in winter gear.
Striding on empty streets
Dodging the leaves’ foray
I make it to the plane, taking me away.
Gliding over mountains; raging across seas
Flying high in the sky,
Scattering clouds like fleece.
A million moments pass
Finally I reach, there where she’s rushed before me.
